Ask that customer service woman to give this to you in writing.
Yes, They assured me that the plan is for unlimited...also covers all the networks (Initiall y some of them thought that it's only applicable for certain networks)....there is no restrictions at all...any ways I will re confirm with them.....
The only problem with them are taxes, there are other VOIP phones in the market that they are charging just 3-4 dollars as taxes, whereas vonage is charging more than 8 dollars which is killing part.....

I also sent the letters. Just now received a standard form reply which asks me to go to uscis.gov or call the customer service center if I have any questions about my case. It seems that they did not realize that the letter I sent was not about "my" case but about an issue that is affecting everybody. It seems like they did not even read our letters!!

Did any one get their GCs WITHOUT getting the CPO email? I got PDA emails Sep 11 (saying that they have approved the I485 applications), followed by SLUDs Sep 13. I didn't get any CPO email or other notification. Should I expect the CPO emails and THEN the GCs, or just simply the GCs?
As I read through forums, I understand that there is no consistency in those sequence of online updates.
You may receive your cards without getting the CPO.
There is a chance that, your fingerprints might not be refreshed so you may be requested for FP - if such a thing happens, you will be notified.
I am under the impression that it is just a system glitch.

From IV: IV commends the initiative taken by it's members nk2006, pd_recpaturing, ItsNotfunny and others. As these members have observed, we all know that any one who has filed for AOS/I-485 can potentially be hit with this issue, especially in the current job market situations. If you believe in the old adage prevention is better than cure, this is an action item you have to subscribe to. It will be only a matter of time the number of such denials is going to spike.
In recent weeks there has been a spate of I485 denials by USCIS in the AC21 cases. In most of these cases, the underlying I-140 has been revoked by previous employer. But AC21 regulations and related memo�s require that I485�s should not be denied based on that � provided I485 has been pending for more than 180 days and the applicant has changed to a new job that is same or similar. USCIS has been rejecting cases without even issuing a NOID � again required by AC21 regulations. So USCIS is not following AC21 regulations and related field memo�s for whatever the reasons.
Obviously this will have a very bad impact on us � in addition to tremendous amount of stress it can have very bad economic implications including loss of job. In the current economic conditions we cannot afford to lose the job change flexibility provided by AC21 regulations. IV has started a campaign to fight this.
After a brief campaign to write to Ombudsman, it has been decided to intensify this campaign and write to various officials in USCIS hierarchy. IV core members have been actively involved in coming up with a strategy and are actively supporting this effort. By sending large number of letters we can draw their attention to this issue and resolve as quickly as possible. There are other strategies that are being discussed and will be underway soon to tackle this issue. This is the first and the most important step up on which other steps depend.
I request all the members to start sending the following 4 letters. For your convenience the letters have been completely written including addresses to be sent � all you have to do is download following 4 google documents � add the date, your name and address � and send it to the address provided on each letter.

This is what I did -
1. Had my lawyer followup with consulate -they respond quickly to that.
2. Letter from congressman - congressman called consulate and i got a written reply from congressman on status in less than a week
3. Email followup with consulate
4. Calls to DOS - have to be on hold for a bit though..
Interview - Jan 3; 221g (pink) Phd in bio; additional info submitted - Jan 7th; consulate sent info to DOS - Jan 14th; DOS clearance - Jan 31st. Visa issued - Feb 6th...

At first, I thought my friend was just scaring me by suggesting the senator/congressman route, but seeing your case now I feel foolish as I should've been doing this in early January. I will check my status tomorrow (monday) with the Delhi consulate once more, and then, if need be (fingers crossed), will talk to my boss in Houston about your suggestions regarding congressman's letter. By the way, what if I call DOS tomorrow and they say the I've been cleared, would it still make sense to have congressman approach them? Too many questions, I know, but I guess you know this feeling. I came across a couple who got their H1B approvals last yr with in 3 weeks to each other. One of them was in PIMS and other one not. So I feel approval date does not seem to be a criteria to base these delays upon.:confused:

Good to know that the cis ombudsman's office is paying some attention.
But my concern is that if we don't give them concrete examples of cases where this has occured, then they will just brush us off as "all talk but no meat".
How do we assimilate this info a way that it can be presented to them.
i also know that it is understandable for folks to be a bit reluctant to share all their case info fearing some unforeseen action by the cis.

i'm as indian as you are and have been through LON more than once and it's more than obvious that it's staffed by recent immigrants- from their speech and from the casual use of native language all around. i think the point that was being made though was that any "racism" you perceive at LON is not from the maligned "white brit". hope you got that point...

We are a husband and wife, both filing.
My priority date is Oct 06 and my wife's will be July 1st. (or so.)
My wife's company is a large multinational and her job is secure. My company is small and not making oodles of money right now.
So I consider my wife's to be solid and slow and mine to be less solid but faster.
I predict that mine will get approved before hers and they'll drop hers. But because I simply do not trust USCIS to process them without a hitch, we're filing twice. Shotgun theory.
Our lawyers seem to concur. If our PDs were the same and our companies were similar, it probably wouldn't be worth filing twice.
My question is regarding the EADs and APs. I believe that I should file through her because they are more "solid" applications. I assume that the EAD/AP will be processed prior to the 485 and priority date does not affect them. Her job is more secure than mine and so her EAD would be too..

I agree I too have never seen H1B only ad's anywhere even body shoppers never post this kind of ad which is blatant discrimination. I guess the best way to say H1B only is to post ultra low wages (something close to state minimum's) that way only H1B show interest. SO the best way to tackle it is by either raising state minimum wages to make it fair playing field for all or auditing present companies to check for misuse of H1B with folks on bench, non pay, false documentation etc.
I am in the US for 7 years now, and frankly, I am yet to see a H1B ONLY job posting...

I applied for EAD on 03/22 online and the service center is Nebraska. My current one expires on 07/07. I applied exactly 3 and 1/2 months before. I checked the USCIS web site, it says one need to apply 6 months before the expiry of current one. I'm little worried as I'm not sure if I can get my EAD in time before 07/07. Any inputs as to what can I do in case if I don't get my EAD in time
