the effort you put in is great. i thought of doing something similar, but i gave up as there is no true indicator regarding the overlap between the two sites. I have my information on both the sites, but under two totally different userids. There is no telling how many others have their information in both places. All in all, if you consider the two data to be independent of each other, then it will have a degree of pessimism that will give us a worst case scenario.

You are right; I am using IV and data separately. The overall assumptions, taking an example of EB3 are as follows.
1) Add up all actual approved cases for EB3 India by the approval year as in column P. In case of EB3 it is 117332. The data for each year is available on: Visa Statistics (http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/statistics/statistics_1476.html) .
2) Now, in column L, I am re-distributing the total approved 117332 in column P by the priority year because the USCIS TABLE V data is only by approval year and not by priority year. The % approved distribution for each priority year is derived from either or IV
3) Deduce the total pending cases for EB3 India and put in the total line of column M. The EB3 India it is 444436. To see the derivation for the number 444436 you can click on sheet2 of the uploaded excel file. Assumption1: The pre-adjudicated cases are almost all the pending cases for EB3 India.
4) In column M, I am re-distributing the total pending cases by priority year. The % pending distribution for each priority year is derived from either or IV.
5) Assumption2: Total cases with USCIS for EB3 India = Total Approved + Total Pending. So the whole universe for EB3 India is 117332+ 44436 = 161768
If you see for EB3 India, there are only 1325 data points as compared to 3375 in IV. Therefore, I am calculating and using the % trends for approvals and pending separately. The upper table in the excel sheet is based on trend and the lower is based on IV trend.
Whether the data in or IV are dependent or primary does not matter because I am just using it to get the trends of the percentage approval and pending for every year. However, I assume that the TABLE V reports and the pending pre-adjudicated numbers included primary as well.

There is lot of work going on in the background and IV is working with important lawmakers and organizations to get relief for our community. Due to sensitive nature of the work, we cannot state more than this on an open forum.
In order to know more, everyone is requested to join their chapter and follow the action items. Chapter leaders will further inform their members on the progress being made.
IV core will also participate in such calls when needed and answer questions from members.

EB2 and EB3 India will be lucky to move up by a month.. With a lot more ROW approvals going on, there will be some spill overs coming soon to relive these categories in the next month or two.

They are not publishing it as yet because it will lead to a flood of calls they will have to handle regarding case status.
I second that...
When I called she said that your RD has to be after the processing date for them to look at status or open a SR....
Also RD is what is says for Status on your 485 online....My RD on receipt notice is July 24th, however she said the real RD is Sept 19th..as here is what it says on my online status..
"On Sept 19th we received a 485 application..blah blah...."
Also my case was transfered froM NSC to TSC...so that could be a reason...

Do you know what is waiting periods for the NameCheck/BGCheck/FP Check. What do you mean by Other Checks?...
No one knows the time taken in these checks. for some people it is a few days, for some it is as long as 3-4 years.

I am a July 2 filer with ND of Aug 10 (EB2/Nebraska/PD-Jan 06). I havent received any FP notices yet, nor have received EAD card. The online status just says "case pending...".
I heard that many of the July 2 filers have already gotten FP notice..Is that true? Anyone here without the FP notice yet?

i think 10-20 members have done more than half the work and contributions. Another 100-300 have done the remaining work and added to the contributions. Whereas 11,000+ members have just sipped tea/coffee from the sidelines. Do we really need these people here? They are so out of touch with reality in helping their own cause.
Get some results before asking for money. If this is all about money, I will not pay a single dime to this. Don't discourage people to join the movement. Myself and group of people wanted to contribute but statements like this make us fear that this is all about money and no representation.

I traveled to India earlier this year and entered back to the US on AP while my H1B Renewal was pending. I had inquired with a couple of Attorneys before my trip. Both of them said that my H1B status will not be affected if I am working with the same company after coming back to the US. However, the following article on Murthy.com suggests that my H1B status is probably terminated as I had used AP while entering the US.

USCIS publishes processing dates on every month on or before 15th.
This month its already 26th and they havent published this date.
1. Why is this not yet published?
2 If they cant publish the processing date, why cant USCIS put a message
saying that they will publish it on a particular date.
3 Its a clear indication that cases are not processed in FIFO and I think thats the reason why the processing dates are not published
4 If USCIS can not manage to publish a simple processing dates, then wonder how they can manage processing of so many applications.
